I am Russ Campbell. I am a communications professional working at the Burroughs Wellcome Fund in Research Triangle Park, N.C. I was born and raised in the Fishtown-Section of Philadelphia and have since fallen in love with the eastern-style BBQ and loblolly pines of Durham, N.C.
My job encompasses many circles but the most common component is connection. I have become obsessed with exploring connections as they relate to the foundation, the scientific world, education, and communication.
When I’m not struggling to maintain balance in those circles, I can be found wrestling with words, usually tapping out. But I keep getting back up. I’ve seen Rocky too many times.
Mostly, I enjoy pushing my daughters on the swing set and rolling in the grass. My favorite word is Daddy.
What is a razoobe?
In one of my first jobs out of college my boss’s 2-year old son referred to me as Razoo. When looking for a moniker for my early email accounts, razoo was taken so I became razoobe and have been for nearly 20 years.
